Great news!  The Bring Joy Foundation is proud to announce that we have just granted two very worthy community groups funding for their 2016 activities for senior people in the community.

The Cuppa, Cake and Company based in Bradford applied for funding after hearing about us through our local Ilkley Home Instead Office.  They are specifically aimed at those older people within the community who may be partially vulnerable and suffering from social isolation and loneliness and whom rarely have the opportunity to go out.  Previous events have been a great success and as a result, numbers attending has increased significantly, highlighting the need for such an activity in the village. Unfortunately their funding was exhausted until they heard about The Bring Joy Foundation.

When we shared the great news of the £3,420 funding Becky Berry, Co Founder of The Cuppa, Cake and Company said;

‘It is fantastic that we can keep reaching out to older people in our community thanks to your support.  We know it is needed in our area and thank you for helping us to give something to those that really need it and appreciate it.’

Our next grant was awarded to Silverline Memories based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Their mission is to provide meaningful activities  for people living with Dementia.

Sandra Hastings, C.O.O was overjoyed by the news and is planning a fun day with fish and chips and ice cream on the 14th June 2016 with the £600 grant.  Sounds like a yummy day out!
